How to install and use Fcrackzip
Fcrackzip is a fast and simple tool for recovering passwords from ZIP archives. It supports dictionary-based and brute-force attacks, making it effective for cracking encrypted ZIP files.
Quick install:
sudo apt install fcrackzip
Installation steps
- Update your package list with sudo apt update
- Install with sudo apt install fcrackzip
- Create a test zip with a known short password to practise on
- Have a wordlist ready such as the rockyou file for dictionary mode
- Run fcrackzip with no options once to read its help
