Quick install:
sudo apt install lynis
Installation steps
- Open a terminal on the Linux machine you want to audit
- Run sudo apt install lynis to install it
- Run sudo lynis audit system to start a full audit
- Read the on-screen suggestions and warnings
- Review the saved report at /var/log/lynis-report.dat
